Tired...

Got up early this morning... At least, early for summer me. It wasn't REALLY that early, but it felt like it. And then we went over to the house and I painted until noon-thirty. Daddy stained the deck, then he helped with the trim in the basement...
We're closing on the house tomorrow!! Which means we get the keys!! Which means that I'm moving in soon!!
And Ariel FINALLY messaged me back...
And I'm painty. I am also the Paintbrush Killer. I killed two today. By accident. And I painted a door.
And Gwen passed her first real day of work! I managed to tune Dad's music out. He plays his LOUD.

Springfield

The garage sale of doom went well. Daddy did sell the go-cart... to Lynn. I can't complain. I love her. :D
And Kailey and I each got a hundred bucks. Not complaining there, either.
I did spend a lot of it today, though. We went shopping! I refilled my stock of cherry-blossomed-scented stuff from Bath and Body Works (crazy expensive. I bought a TINY vial of oil for $7.50), bought some rock candy from Mr. Bulky's (I'm a sucker for that stuff. XD) and a Beanie Baby! ...No, I don't already have enough of them.
Besides, he used his adorable, puppy charm on me!! His name is Brutus.
Uhh... hung around in Borders for awhile. They did NOT have the Dark Secrets books, or Vivian Vande Velde's stuff. I ended up buying Wicked Lovely, which seems pretty good so far. *is six chapters in* Reminds me of Tithe and Valiant and The Hunter's Moon. You know, modern day faerie stuffs.
And, my dear friends, I decided today that it was time Fleur took her long-deserved retirement. She is in rather sorry condition. You know, missing buttons, broken volume, all that jazz. So, I went looking around in FYE for a... successor.
And I bought one! I don't keep a lot of music on mine, so I didn't get a big one. Just 512 megs. But that's twice Fleur's size...
And the best part? I DON'T HAVE TO USE SONIC STAGE. That program is pure EVIL. I get to use my nice, easy Windows Media~
And the even BETTER part? When i got home to try it out, guess what? The screen is BROKEN.
It reminds me that Irony doesn't like it when I get too happy.

So, Kailey and I stayed at Nana's last night, and for the first time (in my life, at least that I can remember) we slept in the spare bedroom UPSTAIRS, not in the basement. Which was pretty nifty. The bed was super bouncy (only one, so we had to share, but it was pretty big).
Two things: Number One. Nana has the CREEPIEST doll I've ever seen. We stuck her in the closet. Kailey 'felt bad' for her, though, so she put the doll on a pillow, then decided just to put the other spare pillow on top of it. Seriously. It's scary.
And I have an overactive imagination, just like Kat. I don't normally sleep in rooms with ground-floor windows, and this room had them on two sides. So, I didn't sleep well. At all. But, besides that, we saw Ratatouille, which was good, and were taken to a farmer's market. And we ate at Long John Silver's, which is typical resturaunt for nights when we stay over. I love their fish. :3
Tomorrow is the GARAGE SALE OF DOOM.
And Daddy wants to sell my go-cart. T_T
Also, we have no sugar pop in the house. If I seem not normal when I speak to you, it's because my blood is realizing how much sugar it DOESN'T HAVE.

Ugh...

As much as I hate to admit it, Kailey does have good taste in music sometimes.
I love this song.

O.o

I am SO glad Joplin doesn't put much pride in their band.
Webb City's was out today, at NOON, on their field for camp. IN FULL UNIFORM.
Their director makes Castor look like a saint.

Sunday.

Have you ever noticed that the exact instant you don't have something, you immediatly want it, no matter how long it's been since you last used it?
I want to play Final Fantasy IX REALLY bad right now. Nevermind the fact that I have a stack of perfectly good PS2 games I haven't beat yet still out.
My room felt pretty empty without the beanie babies - it feels really empty without the books. I left three out of the boxes to tide me over until the move (One is the Deathly Hallows, and if you don't know what the other two are, shame on you!) but most of my room is totally packed. My only amusement are the three books, my PS2, and Neo. None of Neo's GAMES, though. And some various movies I couldn't bring myself to pack yet...
On a side note, I did dig through an already packed box to find my Fushigi Yuugi last night. For some reason, I seemed to think that I wouldn't miss it. Which was dumb. So, it is now safe in my desk for my viewing pleasure, though I have absolutely no desire to watch it now that I have it.
Never, EVER believe in the Irony Goddess. She sucks.
Uhh... Deathly Hallows was great, naturally. I felt really sorry for a couple of the deceased characters... No more can be said on this matter until Jessica is home and has read the book, however. For the record, this is, quite possibly, the best of the series. I MAY even like it better than the Prisoner. Which has managed to keep my 'favorite' status even through the Order and the Prince.
I watched almost six hours of General Hospital today... Five being this week's, and the almost one being the Nightshift episode I watched Thursday. And there was more Jason than there has been in weeks. Which made me happy. Even though he was ticked pretty much the whole time.
I'm going over to my Nana's on Wednesday... We're gonna see Harry Potter at some point while we're there. And next weekend is SUPPOSED to be the Garage Sale of Doom. And the next Tuesday is supposed to be closing-day.
Gah, I'm so bored...

Thursday, July 19, 2007

Wow.

It feels weird to realize that tomorrow is the book opening party for the Deathly Hallows.

I'm meeting with Ashley and maybe Beenish tomorrow for one... This'll be the third one I've gone to. And I still have the oversized "HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX BOOK OPENING PARTY" thingy I won in the garage.

So, there's a few new things on our house, too. David found termites (just one spot. and the seller pays for treatment.) and the roofer says we need a new roof, which is really rather pricey. But the seller has to pay for THAT, too.
:P I'm sure you're getting annoyed by the new-house talk by now, so I'll just show one more piccy for now, and I'm done for awhile. Promise.

The view from the basement windows. If you look REALLY hard in those two trees on the left you can make out the camera. It's MUCH easier to see on Neo. Please also notice the weirdly shaped house you can see in the background on the right. It is round, like a castle turret, but HUGE. And four stories tall. There is even MORE to the house elsewhere. But that turret-thing is weird. Very.

Checking in...

Yeah, not too much to say.
Cousins came over. Went swimming. My shoulders burned. Rather annoyed.
Had Chinese for dinner. Was delicious. Slightly more happy.
Finally made myself finish anime I started forever ago. No, Jess, not Spiral. Haibane Renmei. Really good. Recommended.
Kinda sleepy. Kinda want to write. Beenish is supposed to be writing. She's never on. It's annoying.
Gonna stop now...

O.O

I found a girl on YouTube that has every episode from GH going back at least to February.
She is like... my hero.

Sunday, July 15, 2007

Sigh...

I feel like such a bad friend...
I tried calling Ariel a few days ago, and apparently her cell's been disconnected, 'cuz my call got bounced... And the number Mom has didn't work either. I don't know her new home phone number, despite the fact that she's lived there for awhile. I don't know her email, or her address, or anything...
So I've slumped low enough as to get a MySpace account. Just to let her know that I'm moving.
Anybody know if you get to keep your phone number or not when you move inside the city, out of curiosity?

Saturday, July 14, 2007

Yeah...

So, I haven't updated in awhile. Not really much has gone on lately, though...
Uh, Jess stayed the night last night, and we watched two movies (neither prompted the "Titanic" reaction) killed a badmiton birdie, and killed each other in SC3...
There was an eight-foot deep hole in our backyard yesterday!! It was kinda nifty. And one of those big, school-bus-yellow digger thingies that I cannot remember the name of.
Anyway, I've been packing for moving day... It took two BIG boxes to fit all my stuffed animals, one and a half of them being strictly my beanie babies. ((My room looks WEIRD without them...)) I took down a couple of my wall coverings, too... I don't like my empty walls...
Umm... Kailey went to a friend's house earlier, which was nice. Mom and Dad and me went out for dinner, then got an Icee, and then went over to Ron and Bev's house.
Their grandson is the one Kailey's been babysitting lately, and he is ADORABLE. In between the moments when Wheel of Fortune had his whole attention, he brought me one of his books to read to him... Noah's Ark, ironically. (His name is Noah.) And I couldn't read him the WHOLE book. He would let me read up to the part about two pandas and then flip it back to the beginning.
He went to bed pretty early after getting there... Then the adults went to play dice, and it indirectly became my mission to befriend their dog Mocha. I scared her at the beginning of the night by moving out of my chair too fast... She was an abused dog. She's missing a lot of teeth and has some scars... She's Guppy-sized, and the sweetest little thing...
I did befriend her, by the way. I had her on my lap, rolled over on her stomach, which made me pretty happy.
BUT THEIR CAT HATED ME.
I tried to pet her at some point, and she hissed at me. So, I was done.
Ron messed with her tail later, and she turned around and hissed at ME! And she had a... oh, imagine one of Norwood's glares-of-doom. From a cat. She was giving me one of those the last half-hour I was there.
So, I hate cats.
But I love dogs.
And their house was FREEZING. They and dad were fine, but I was literally shivering. My teeth were chattering and everything...
I barely touched the book I brought with me, 'cuz between the dog and paying attention to the adult's conversation, then getting roped into being scorekeeper, I didn't have time for it...
And I'm going over to my house tomorrow! One of our 'connections' is getting us in. :D
And, that's really all that's been going on in the last week. I live a sad life...
But I like it.

WE'RE MOVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excitement~!!!!!!

Okay~ There are people in my kitchen signing contracts~
I am uuber happy. Squee!
Anyway, I got pictures for you... I have more, but I'm really too lazy to put up more. But, mes amies, please enjoy! After all, you'll be seeing a lot of this place, too... :D:D:D

This is the living room. Part of it. This is the view from the kitchen. The stairs and door are off to the right of the picture.
This is ONE OF the dinning rooms. :D We have TWO. This is the formal~
And, the kitchen~
And, best room in the whole house~ My room, in case you haven't guessed. This really doesn't do it justice... I have my own bathroom, too. But, LOOKIT my window. It's HUGE. And GORGEOUS.

Sunday, July 8, 2007

O.O

Forget it. Forget it. FORGET IT.
We're moving.
Well, 98% likely. We'll know tomorrow. :D

Here we go again...

ANOTHER OPEN HOUSE. AGAIN. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE OVER BY NOW.
So, yeah. Unless we sell it today, we don't get our house, unless we list it with that realtor that was over a few days ago. Which none of us really want. So, HOPEFULLY it will all be over this evening. Either we move, which is unlikely, or we stay here, and I get my chalkboard wall. :D
I've also decided to stay in my own bedroom. While moving downstairs would give me pretty much a whole floor to myself, the room down there is TINY... And I have WAY~ too much crap to fit in there.
So, I shall be happy to rearrange my furniture, maybe. And paint the wall my bed is up against now into my chalkboard wall. And I SWEAR that those ugly shutters in my room are going bye-bye. I want curtains.
So... I don't really have anything to talk about. I'm stuck in Kingdom Hearts again... So I am going to go attempt to slaughter that guy. And be slaughtered instead.
Byebye!!

Still ALIVE.

So, the fourth is over for us, firework-wise. This year was slightly less exciting... Emil wasn't here, so that means no roman-candle-wars with him and Dad... The parents were more strict and precise with instructions this year...
But still, totally awesome.
I stayed inside with the adults while Kailey and the cousins (Some of them. Sarah, Michael, and little Josh, at least.) starting playing with the fireworks Dad and Alan bought. ((Can you BLAME me? Kailey with FIRECRACKERS? Or Josh, who burned Emil last year? Or Sarah and Micheal, who none of you know?))
So, anyway, they played with the poppers and smoke bombs and firecrackers and such until we went out there, when it started to get dark. Mom and I set up the blanket to sit on, and the other adults sat in the chairs in the space they had claimed. Well, actually, we watched as a roman candle went off, INSIDE one of those traffic cones, I might add. See, Nana lives on a hill a few blocks away from the big fireworks, so everybody wants to drive down that street, which doesn't actually GO to the park. So the neighbors set some cones up to discourage cars this year. :D And Sarah decided to put some fireworks inside of them. It was nifty looking.
Anyway, the bottom of the hill, right out in front of Nana's is the place where all the neighbors come and set up their chairs.... AND bring their fireworks. And let me tell ya, these guys don't go cheap on them. They were setting off some big ones, while Kailey and Sarah and Josh set off some artillery shells and such. Mama talked Kailey into shooting a roman candle at one of the street lights (long story. Josh turned one off last year with one.). The OTHER adults were yelling at them to stop (them being her, Sarah, and Josh. Josh was doing the actual shooting.) Josh came to sit with Mom and me then, so I figure his dad really wasn't happy. Kailey and Sarah continued shooting some off. The crowd across the street (maybe twenty-some-odd people) were yelling for them to hit the streetlight. And some point, Kailey yelled back, "Are you TRYING to get me in trouble?!" It was funny.
When it was about time for all the big ones to start, our blanket filled up. I was on one corner, with Kailey in front of me and Mom on my left. Sarah was on her side, Micheal was in front of her and Josh was in front of Mom. That's all the "kids" of the family. Including Mom. She's "young at heart".
Sarah, who I might add is normally quiet and such, was very loud. It was rather funny, actually. We were talking about all the stuff that's happened through the years, like the year the fireworks stopped for a long time before starting again. Sarah's decision was, and I quote, "Somebody probably caught on fire... And they had to wait until he stopped burning. State legislature, you know."
Then came the first picture-made-of-fireworks of the night. A swirl. In the DUMBEST possible voice, she announced, "It's a SWIRL!" And when we all laughed at her, she added, more quietly, "In case, you know, there are any blind people..."
Our blanket also started a group "ooh and ahh". It was pretty good. We grew bored, eventually. The kids across the street tried to copy us, but they were quieter after my dear cousin yelled "LOSERS!!" across the street.
Also, when we were looking at the shapes in the sky, she yelled out, "Do a PIRATE!!"
Kailey and Sarah were laughing about a cute little Mexican midget (also a long story. One I do not plan on explaining.) at some point...
I think Kailey was yelling FREEDOM!! when Mama said, "She sounds like she's drunk." Sarah replied, "She's drunk on AMERICA!!"
And, finally, after the finale, there was the healthy round of "Thank you New York!" and "Goodnight!"'s from the Blanket. There was also one, "NOW GET OFF OUR LAWNS!" from my cousin, and lots and lots of "AND PICK UP YOUR TRASH!!" from Kailey.
Hope you had a Happy Fourth, everyone, and congrats if you made it this far...
I love my family...

4th

Happy 231st, America. May you have many, many more.

Meh...

My day, in a nutshell: we still might be moving after all, hamburgers, Howl's Moving Castle and Davy Jones.
So, long story short, we're going to list our house with a realtor for two months, and if it sells in that time, we still get the pwetty house. Dad's version is very long-winded, so I summarized. The end.
But I DID talk him into making hamburgers for dinner. We called Nana first, to check and see what she's cooking for the Fourth tomorrow, and you know what she said? Lasagna. LASAGNA. For the Fourth of July. So, we had hamburgers and french fries. Also, we have one of the fun ketchup bottles, with three different nozzles on it. So I drew a smiley face on my burger.
And then we went to Crown and got movies. I ish listening to Howl's Moving Castle right now.
And I learned, just now, that arranging music sucks. I already knew the NOTES to Davy Jone's Lullaby, and it still took me two hours to get it written out. Figuring out how long to hold each note sucks. However, I do have a finished copy of it, for flute, of course, in my drawer. Arranged by MOI.
Also, I unlocked Amy today in SC3, further proving that I like the little speedy characters. Currently I like her more than Talim or Setsuka. Despite her un-talkiness.
P.S. Happy Fourth of July! Be careful, don't get burned, and don't burn ANYONE ELSE.

:D

So, as you may have noticed, I grew bored of the dots. :D What can I say, I'm easy to bore.
Also, at my time of writing this sentance, there are 35 days, 6 hours, 14 minutes, and 32 seconds until Eclipse comes out.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, I have two words for you: SPRENCH JUSTICE. If you still don't know what I'm talking about, how the HECK did you get to my blog?
Also, I cut my finger open on a pair of shorts yesterday. Don't ask me; I don't know how I did it either. But I have a nice-sized cut from it. I felt accident-prone.
I don't really have much to write about. Moral of this post: I changed my blog background, and I'm excited about Eclipse.
P.S. Edward Cullen prefers brunettes. Take that, blondes, redheads and blackians!
