Yeah, it's lost.

But I'm not nearly as disappointed about it as I thought I would be. Oh well. It wasn't meant to be, I guess.
So, Within Temptation has good music. Really good music. They're more of an Evanescence-y type band, except the lead is even better than E's.
And, of course, due to it's sucktacular-ness, iTunes doesn't carry their music.
At least they hadn't, until I checked today. :D Only one song, but it's one I DIDN'T have. It's really good, actually... Called What Have You Done, if you're curious...
I never did watch LOTR last night... Just now realizing. But I watched Blood and Chocolate again today. It's still stunning that it's a good movie. And that Aiden is LIKEABLE, even worse. And I didn't like movie Gabriel. I think that The Curse doesn't count that way. I liked Aiden. And Vivie. NEITHER OF WHICH DIE.
I know none of YOU will agree with me, but in my mind, it doesn't count. SO NYAH.

But It Is Not Lost.

The quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little and it will fail, to the ruin of all.
Sorry. I haven't watched LOTR in a long time, and I am in that mood right now.
Anyways.
The people love the house. They said that if they were to get a house, this is the one they would want.
However, because of the INCREDIBLY short notice, they are not sure if they can get the money to buy ours. They may scratch up the money, they may not. They planned on getting a house in December.
Dad and Emil are thinking of ways to get creative. The contract we have on the one we want expires tomorrow sometime, and they may bargain for more time to help the others get the money.
I'm still kinda hopeful. I've ACCEPTED that I am not moving, in case worst comes to worst. I've even bargained to get a chalkboard wall, if we don't. It all depends on what Emil can swing for, where the peoples can get money, and how we can bargain.
Jeez. And I thought it'd be all over by now.

*high pitched squealing sound here*

We got it, we got it, WE GOT IT~!!!!!
Ahem. Excuse me.
New update: WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!! THEY ACCEPTED OUR OFFER!!!
So, that makes me very happy. :D It also means Kailey and I are cleaning like mad today so that the house gleams like a new penny ((My lucky penny does not gleam. I think I should clean it as a metaphoric gesture.)) tomorrow when Mr. and Mrs. Hopeful Owners come back to see it, for the THIRD TIME. And, supposedly, they are bringing a contract.
No guarantees yet, of course, but if we get a contract tomorrow ((MUST be tomorrow)) then we get the new house~!! And it's gorgeous, of course. I'll post piccies, should Mr. and Mrs. decide to become my new favorite people-I-don't-know-well.
HOPE FOR THE BEST, KAILEY!!

KEYI

So, I was listening in on the more intricate details of a contract between a realtor and a buyer today, mostly because the conversation was taking place in my kitchen.
Yes, my dear friends, we put in an offer on a house today.
No, our house is not sold yet. It may/will hopefully sell on Friday.
But that is not what this is about!! I don't think.
Anyway, as I was sitting there, I realized that I live in a very nice family, when it comes to having connections. Looking for a house? Call up Uncle Emil. Need a termite inspection for said house? Call up Uncle David. Breathing treatment? Hello, Daddy.
Thus being said, I realized I have: two school cafiteria workers, two exterminators, a respitory therapist, a daycare worker, realtor, dollar store worker(s), Walmart manager... All in my family, no farther away than my grandparents and cousins.
Hey, I'm not complaining. I would much rather deal with Emil than 98% of the realtor population. And he got the temporary codes to let us into the house we want. Which meant I could sit in the room I have claimed as mine, should all go well.
And the closet of that room? It has a WINDOW in it. And I'm not REALLY sure why that seems so kewl to me, but it REALLY does.
Hmm... More on the house, should we get it. If not, I shall prolly be mostly depressed.
Now, off to find my lucky penny...

HAPPINESS!

Okay, this is old news now, but I am still happy about it, so DEAL WITH IT!!! :D Anyways, I took the June ACT so as to get into my DC Trig/College Algebra class. It requires a 22.
My results came in on... Friday, I think. Anyways, I got a THIRTY ONE!! I was really really happy.
And the minor fact that my parents owed me twenty bucks apiece didn't hurt at all.
So, I have a limited amount of that left. ((Has anyone else noticed how EXPENSIVE books are nowadays?!)) But I have three new books, get to take my DC class with Jess, and can now, OFFICIALLY say that I have beat Beenish.
Life is good.

Maybe I should let them have their way more often.

Normally when I'm writing, I have a scene all planned out in my head. I know EXACTLY how it's going to go, and how it's going to end. And, of course, I end up with a scene nowhere near RANNA sized in length, but what I wanted.
And then, some days, my characters decide that THEY don't want to play along. Normally I ignore it, and still get what I want.
And then came Vayne, the most evilly frustrating character my mind has sprung on me.
So, what was SUPPOSED to be a fluffy scene turned into a severly angsty one.
Once I had accepted that, Vayne decided that he was going to ramble on more than I wanted him to. Thus my "quarter-page" idea turned into a PAGE AND A HALF.
Letting Vayne have his way seemed to be productive. I'm not sure whether I like this or getting a shorter, not-angsty thing better...

Now's the time for the bomb shelter...

Okay, my family is beyond obsessed with Chicken Mary's. We will be there - AGAIN! For the second time in a WEEK - this evening, and I think it's safe to say we will be loud, obnoxious, and possibly harmful. After all, while the soap opera side of my family is relatively friendly, and the worst troublemaker *coughcoughJoshcough* hasn't been seen at a family event since Easter, this side of my family is slightly more dangerous. Last fourth of July, the last time we were all together, resulted in burns from close-range Roman Candles, and more than two people literally on fire.
My OTHER cousin Josh - the sociable one - as well as my dad's brother Emil will be there. And Kailey, too.
I'm bringing my headphones. Sadly, my MP3 player's sound is broken at a constant state of fifteen, for loud. I don't think that will be good enough...

FINE.

Okay, maybe I did give in and make one, but I will pride myself on the knowledge that I was the LAST ONE to do it. I am sure this will be rarely updated. So all I'm really doing is wasting hosting. Oh well, I guess...
